Side game · 2–5 players
Banker
One against the field, rotating — every hole, somebody's holding the bank.
One player banks each hole against everybody else, head to head with each of them at once, and the bank rotates so everyone takes their turn holding it.
The rules
On your bank hole, your net score plays each opponent's net score separately: win a matchup, collect the stake from that player; lose one, pay that player; ties push. Three opponents means three separate results on your hole — sweep them or get swept.
How it settles
$2 stake, foursome. You bank the 5th with a net par: beat two, tie one — $4 in. Dave banks the 6th with a 7 and pays the field. The bank giveth.
Rivalry scores Banker live — the rules stated on the first tee, the money running along the bottom of the card, and the settle done to the dollar when the last putt drops. The round goes into your group's permanent record, because a game this good deserves to be remembered past the car park.
Some scores take years to settle.
Rivalry is in closed beta with a handful of groups. Leave an email and we’ll tell you when there’s room.
